year 5 update

This week we have worked are socks off for our production next Wensday . On Friday we went out to go to our amazing pantomine we went to watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs . It was good fun to watch and in the middle of it we had some yummy lollipops. . by Harry and Josh year 5 bloggers .

year 6 update

Last Friday year 6 went on a trip to the pantomine. The whole school came and we enjoyed it . It was amazing. As well as that year 6 have been doing assessments-we have done 4 tests. We worked our socks off and hopefuly we got a good score. Mckye and Aaron

Year 4 update

Year 4 update Last week at our swimming lesson we did our swimming assessments and hopefully it went well. Some of us had to swim ten meters and some of us had to swim fifty meters.In assembly we should get our badges.We all tried very hard in the assessments. (Mackenzie and Rowan Year 4 bloggers)

This week year 3,4 and 5 have being practising for our Christmas production. We have also learnt all of are songs and the actions. It will be on Wednesday 17th December 2014. It wiil be the best play ever. [[JACOB AND LUKE]]

year 5 update

On Friday we are going to the awesome pantomine at the Carrigeworks in Leeds we are going to see the wonderful Sleeping Beauty.We get to have a break in the middle of the pantomine to have a delicious lollipop. (Harry year 5 blogger)

Year 4 update

Y4 update This week in year 4 in English we have being focussing on poetry.We have being learning how to read with fluency and expression by standing in front of our partnners and trying to read confidently.On Wednesday we will be practising and performing it in front of the whole class. Year 6 update

Over the last week we planted our dafadils for Marie Curie to help those who are diagnosed with cancer. Every bulb we plant will make money for this important charity and show how much our school cares for others.We put the dafadils in year 3's court yard and will leave them there over the Winter to see them blooming in Spring. year 5 update

On Friday all year 5 brought in buns for Childen in Need and all year 5 sold all of the buns then raised nearly two hundred pounds which is so AMAZING!!!! Thank you to those people who donated all the buns. (They where yummy) Harry(year 5 blogger)

Year 3 update

On Friday 7th November year 3 and 4 went on a school trip to Magna. We went to Magna because our Topic is Forces. Our favourite partr was the water pavillion. [Jacob and Luke]

Year 4 update On the 14th of November as you all know it was Children in Need. At school we did some different activites like learning who needs us and why we should help.We also did our own Pudsey we got to colour it in and make it look awesome. Yr 6 uptate

Year 4 Update

Year 4 update On Friday year 4 are going on a school trip to the Magna Science Center to learn more about our Science topic which is magnets.We all are exited because we all love magnets and we can learn more about them a big thank you to the teachers who have organised this trip. Year 5 Update

Today my class have been doing Literacy about World War 1 and the Poppy Appeal. On the 11 of November it is a 2 minute silence where we think about the people who died when the world wars happened. On Remembrance Day people wear poppys to show respect. Joshua and Harry (Year 5 bloggers)

Year 3 update

Today Mrs Fox has being teaching us about Remembrance Day. We have learnt that World War 1 started in 1914 to 1918 this year will be the anniversary of WW1. On Remembrance day we show respect to the people that died and made a sacrifice for us. Luke and Jacon (year 3 bloggers)

Year 3 update

This week year 3 and 4 have been to the Leeds City Museum looking at Romans because it is our topic. It wass really fun we made Roman helmets. When we finished making the helmet we looked at Roman statues. When we looked at the Romans and finished our quiz we looked at Mummys and Egyptians. Luke and Jacob (year 3 bloggers)

year 6 update

Today the whole school went to St Mary the Less church to celebrate harvest. Year 6 had readings to celebrate the harvest and some of our class played instruments. year 5 update

Over the past couple of weeks year 5 a be doing a science investgation about what bread moulds the quickist. For my group we just did white and brown bread but yesterday it was as HARD AS A ROCK !!! Last week years 3 and 4 went on a school trip to Leeds City Museum to learn about our topic the Romans. We all had fun because we got to dress up as Romans. After that we made lovely Roman hats that had plooms .The ploom is the furry bit at the top of the hat.

year 5 update

In year 5 we have been doing reading buddies it has been so fun for us. On our trip to Skelton Grange we explored all of the bugs and creatures which lived in different habitats. This is to help with our science work. In P.E. with Sam we have been learning to listen and pay attention. We tried our hardest to get it right.

Year 6 were doing tests last week. We have tried our hardest! Also this week we have been doing reading buddies across school and year 6 has been paired up with year 3. We have been doing Maths In Action every week and this week our focus was pocket money.

Year 4 update This week in year 4, we've been doing our Maths In Action to help Miss Greenwood make boxes for Reception class. Y6 trip

Our assessments


This week in year 4 we've been doing our writing assessments to see where we are in our writing levels. We wrote about a dilemma. The dilemma was about  a boy called Taj who hardly sees his parents. His cousins mum told them they could all go to the seaside next week just then his mum and dad rung they told Taj they had a day off from work. Taj had to choose his mum and dad or got the seaside with Chandra and Ravi's parents.

On Tuesday 30th September, we are going to an amazing and exquisite trip to Skelton Grange. We are going because we will be learning things linked to our topic. We hope to see different types of creatures and have the best trip ever!

On Thursday, year 5 are going on a special trip to Skelton Grange and are going to go through awful rivers and some muddy swamps. We feel excited about going to Skelton Grange but mostly we are looking forward exploring the rivers and swamps.

This week in year 4 we've been investigating 'what will magnets stick through?' and we went outside and tested different materials and objects by putting the magnet under the object and putting the paper clip on top. It was really fun and exciting!

On Friday, year three did a bun sale and raised money for our courtyard. We raised £60.30 and we all did amazing posters and wrote letters about our bun sale in class.
